The annual Italian Market Festival is held in one of Philadelphia’s most established neighborhoods—the stretch of South Ninth Street in South Philadelphia, now known as the 9th Street Italian Market.
This area, just south of Center City Philadelphia, has always been a multicultural and vibrant mix of people and businesses. The festival originated in 1971, and was revived for 2001 with a flavor of the old and in keeping with the new face of S. 9th Street. This is a perfect location for a craft festival.
It’s Brooklyn Flea meets S. 9th Street when artists bring their one-of-a-kind creations. Wander through the lively streets and discover a treasure trove of handcrafted wonders, from intricate jewelry to exquisite ceramics, created by talented artisans who bring their unique flair to this lively market.
